Upgrading Your Plan
Upgrading
Section titled “Upgrading”- Click Pricing in the top bar to open the plans page at
/subscription/. - Pick the billing cycle with the Monthly / Annually tabs — the selected tab decides which cycle the checkout uses. The page opens on the tab matching the cycle you are already billed on.
- Click Change plan on the card for the tier you want. Only the card for the plan and the billing cycle you are already on is replaced by a disabled Current Plan button; your own plan on the other billing cycle still shows Change plan.
- Complete payment in the Paddle checkout overlay that opens over the page.
- Your tier is recomputed from your active Paddle subscriptions on every request, so the new tier applies as soon as Paddle’s webhook records the subscription as active. The pricing page reloads itself five seconds after checkout completes.
Downgrading
Section titled “Downgrading”There is no in-app downgrade flow, and Change plan is not one. It always opens a checkout for a brand-new subscription — nothing in CVEFeed.io modifies or cancels the subscription you already have. Your tier is the highest-priority plan among all of your active Paddle subscriptions, so buying a cheaper plan while the current one is still running bills you for both and leaves you on the higher tier.
To move down a tier, cancel the current subscription in the Paddle customer portal first — open the user menu and choose Payment & Invoice (see Cancellation). It stays active, and you keep the higher tier’s features, until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. Once it lapses your account is on Free, and you can subscribe to the plan you actually want from the Pricing page.
A downgrade is never blocked by your current usage, and nothing is deleted. If you end up over the new tier’s limits, your existing projects and product subscriptions keep working — you simply cannot add new ones until you are back under the limit (see Limits & Quotas). Features above your new tier — webhooks, Slack and Jira delivery, MCP access, two-factor authentication — become inaccessible once the new tier takes effect.
Payment
Section titled “Payment”CVEFeed.io uses Paddle as the payment processor. Paddle handles:
- Credit and debit card payments
- Invoicing and receipts
- Tax calculation and compliance
- Subscription management
Cancellation
Section titled “Cancellation”Open the user menu in the top-right corner and choose Payment & Invoice. It opens the Paddle-hosted customer portal, where you cancel the subscription — there is no in-app cancellation screen. If you have never subscribed to a paid plan, the link sends you back to the Pricing page instead.
Your account reverts to the Free tier at the end of the current billing period. Existing data is preserved, but features beyond the Free tier become inaccessible.
